In cases of sham marriages (does not apply to OP), they can scrutinise the spouse’s nationality even if the sponsor is earning enough. Some sham marriages .

I believe the decision on LTVP will be more about income (ability for you to support both of you now, on your income alone, without the husband working). I don’t believe evaluation of LTVP uses the same criteria as PR. I’m sure someone will correct me if I am wrong about this.

thanks for sharing your view. I hope my basic salary 4k per month seems enough for ICA to decide.Additionally I am staying in Parents owned HDB. Meanwhile, I know my nationality is not in favour.

All the best WD. I can totally relate to how you feel… having gone through the same back in Jan. For me, I had been working at the same employer and even the same office for over 28 years. It was like my home away from home, and the nostalgia I felt just walking through the halls among the cubical farms could be overwhelming. It was the first time in my entire career that I almost shed a tear :(
To help my wife adjust, I tried to recreate a similar lifestyle after our move. I wouldn’t say it was a failure, but I feel like it didn’t help… it’s never enough, and the psychological is far more than any lifestyle adjustment. It just takes a whole lot of time and patience… expect some trials and tribulation, but know it will pass. Good luck and don’t be a stranger on this forum. Most of my Indian friends come back after a few years with their family for a visit. I’m sure you and yours will too.

Nationality might be a disadvantage. You can certainly try and hope for the best but be prepared for rejection.
