OK you are quite confusing with the sequence so far. But I get it now. Probably should be OK because you have not yet renounced your citizenship.

Looking for some help / guidance here.
We have just received the letter (on 31st Oct) for oath to be taken on 21st Nov.
For the Indian passport holders, BLS website https://www.blsinternational.com/india/singapore/cancelcitizenship.php
shows two forms to be completed for renunciation:
Two forms are:
https://indiancitizenshiponline.nic.in/Renounce
https://embassy.passportindia.gov.in

I have filled the first form with all details needed, and struggling to complete first step of second form. It had a field called "Foreign Nationality Acquisition Date (DD/MM/YYYY)*". Does it mean .....

Re: My citizenship journey

hi Smoulder, can you kindly advise the date to be inserted in the passport india website for renunciation, they have asked for a date: "Foreign Nationality Acquisition Date (DD/MM/YYYY)"
Does it refer to the date when the Citizenship letter was generated (after photo upload and payment) or does it refer to the Appointment date for Oath.
I am unable to choose future date in the indian passport form, hence confirming. Thank you

Re: SC Rejection

A small query to some one who can guide me. My wife is on EP (since 2017 April). She is planning to go to India for delivering a baby and shall spend totally about 5 months at a stretch in 2025. Will it affect
a. Her EP renewal (her current EP is valid up to Jun 2026)
b. Her PR application in Aug 2025, will it be affected by the above stay for 5 months.

For tax residency SG states 6 months out of SG, which in any case she will not and she is determined to come by the end of 5 months stay.
