Is anime easily available in Singapore?

Hey everyone,

I was just wondering — is anime content readily available in Singapore? Like, are most popular shows (subbed or dubbed) accessible through local streaming platforms or TV channels?

Also, do services like Crunchyroll, Netflix, or work well there in terms of access and speed?

Would love to hear from anyone watching anime in Singapore — how’s the experience?
Are there any region blocks or missing titles?

Thanks in advance!

My helper looking for new employer

Would anyone like to take over my Filipino helper? She is 47yo. She has been a personal friend for the last 19 years and recently employed as my helper. She has worked for Japanese, Australian, British and Iranian family. She has a natural charm with children and is a good cook. She keeps my house cleaner than any other help I have received. She has a positive attitude and is proactive. Throughout our 19 years relationship, I have never heard her complain about works. Instead she takes initiative to go beyond the work instructions given her. She is also very honest. Once in 2009, I forgot to check the pockets before putting them into the laundry. Melanie stumbled upon a stack of $1000 and returned it to me. As it was a loose stack, she could easily have taken a few notes or even the whole stack. The temptation must have been great. Instead she chose what was right, and not the easy. For her love of God! This is only 1 of many instances of her honesty. And over the years, she impresses .....

Has anyone applied for business grants?

Hey gang,

I've been running a company since 2018 and I'm looking to pivot from consultancy and into AI. I've already started the process by taking on AI related projects, building a community and launching a YouTube channel.

AI apps, video editing and subscription services are getting expensive and the bills are adding up but my main goal is to increase the community to 1000 paid subscribers (currently at 81) and scale up the video content on YouTube by creating 1 video per day (that's how I drive people into my community).

I had a look on the Sg Business Portal and there's a few grants on there but I'm not sure which ones are relevant. I did ask my accountant but she doesn't know either.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

The old emails will no longer work. Please use the feedback form on the ICA page (form.sg) to send your enquiry.
❱❱

Can I use that to appeal rejections too? Thanks.
❱❱

It's next to useless to appeal rejections.

Depending on the wording of the letter or email of rejection that you received (eg: "You are welcome to apply again once your circumstances have changed" or "You can continue to live/work here under your existing permit"), you are better off waiting a couple of years, hopefully upgrading your circumstances - promotion, marriage to a SG citizen with child on the way etc - and then applying again.

If the rejection says you are welcome to continue working here under your existing permit, then you are SOOL (sh*t out of luck) and you will probably never get PR and (as we always say here) it will be time for Plan B.

Re: Seeking Advice: PR Application Pending Beyond 6 Months

Yes, you can do that. This will be the only way to communicate with ICA. There is a predefined drop-down list for your enquiry. If you can’t find a suitable option, just select "Others". You can then write your query in detail. You may also attach up to three documents.

Once you submit your enquiry, you will receive an automated reply. After about a week, you will get an email from an ICA officer regarding your enquiry.
