SC Application - Alternative Sponsor

Hi All, while submitting the SC application, received a "pop-up" that ICA have identified my spouse as alternate sponsor. I make more $$ than my spouse because of gap in career, but less qualified (Masters vs Bachelors). what do you guys suggest ? shall I proceed with "alternate sponsor" or not ?

Re: Returning Singaporean applying to sponsor PR and LTVP

Hi, I'm a stay at home parent and got my spouse's and kids' LTVP approved earlier this year. So it's possible. I'm not sure if it mattered to ica, but I wrote a letter of explanation as part of the application and explained that I'm a stay home parent. I also uploaded some proof of assets like bank statements, deed etc.

Re: LTVP for children and spouse

Coming back to answer my own question. I had to complete the submission for one child before starting the application for the next child.

Re: Malaysia vehicle entry permit

I usually try to time my drives in/out of Malaysia the weekend JUST AFTER a major holiday, and have had good success, 15-30 mins max crossing time… I also target to come back before 2pm on Sunday.

Re: SC Singapore Citizenship application of Filipino-Chinese successful after 8 months!

I believe language also plays a part. Compared to other ASEAN Chinese from further afield (like Thai/Vietnamese Chinese), Filipino Chinese generally have superior English capabilities.

My Filipino Chinese friends like to tell me that their Hokkien is also better than Singaporeans… sorry, but I remain skeptical of that one!
