The frequency range of the MFS-500A 500KW IGBT type medium frequency generator is from 1KHZ to 10KHZ. Designed based on customers' actual billets size dimensions, MFS-500A adopts the standard voltage 3 phase 380V/50HZ; whereas, the equipment can also be customized according to customers' local voltage standards so as to make itself suitable for local power supply.

As for its applications, MFS-500A is mainly employed in the billets forging heating, parts heat treatment, tube hot heating and metal scrap melting. For the billets forging heating furnace, it is often used to heat the bars with the diameter ranging from 20mm to 200mm; as for the parts heat treatment, MFS-500A is normally used for the heat treatment of parts, and the layer hardening depth is usually more than 5mm; for the tube hot heating, this machine is then normally employed for drill pipe heating, tube hot bending and elbow making, and the diameter of the processed tubes is normally from 2 inches to 30 inches; as for the melting, MFS-500A is then mainly used for steel/iron/copper melting, and its running capacity is from 15kg to 500kg.

Moreover, equipped with the HMI with the functions of both manual/automatic control, MFS-500A can also display its own working parameters and indicate alarming situations. Thus, similar to other induction heating equipment produced by JKZ, MFS-500A can also realize self-protection during sudden high voltage or peak current.

The control system has the ability of store 40 groups of parts data, and each group allows a set of 20 segments time/temperature.

These functions make the machine more universal in variable applications.

They are going to be given expat packages and I believe one of the big reasons for this is that moving to India would be considered a hardship posting. The other kind of foreigner is someone who is moving from a less developed country. They are going to be given local packages because it is not considered a hardship posting.

This is related to the other topic where we were talking about expat packages in Singapore. It's well known in general now that expat packages are on the decline here because in the last 3 decades, Singapore standards of living have improved quite a bit and they don't consider this a hardship posting.

I believe .....

Appreciate your inputs sundaymorningstaple and smoulder.

Some follow-up questions that I have:

1. What if, during the application processing period, I work outside of SG under the employment of a SG-based company (note: its remote work arrangement not business travel) for a period of say 3-6 months in a year. I supposed this is considered a temporary absence and I think i'm still considered a SG tax resident under such circumstances. Does this negatively affect my chance at all?

2. I noted from this forum it seems like the application processing time is generally 6-24 months. Is there any anecdotal evidence to gauge a more specific timeframe for my profile/background?

Thanks

For #1, are you receiving CPF contributions? Are you paying tax on the income that you are earning while you live outside Singapore? I believe that if you answer yes to these .....

Got it. I was referring to expats moving to India.

Totally get it, my daughter just got her license a little over a month ago and is now really excited about the prospect of going back to the US because she really wants her own car. There I could see it happening but here we drive a used Hyundai. It’s a nice car, not beat up and not old at all but it’s just too expensive to justify owning anything nicer here. It’s not even about having the means, it just doesn’t make sense when you consider all of the other costs that you have to pay in addition to the cost of the car.
❱❱

And that is the thing many in Singapore do not understand… having financial means does not equate to being able to enjoy it. Singapore is not a place where you get bang for your buck — and it’s not just expensive, it’s also greatly limited in terms of .....
