Different types of bedroom doors
A beautiful bedroom door is inevitable for you home. Every home requires good bedroom doors and many factors should be put into it. The exterior door of your home sends a great first impression to your guests but then the interior bedroom doors need to live up to that impression and should be in harmony with the decor as well.

Flush Doors
Flush doors are the simplest type of bedroom doors in the market. They are characterized by a completely flat surface on both sides. The most common types of flush doors are regular hinged doors, but often pocket doors are also flush. Compared to other internal bedroom doors, flush doors offer an affordable option for most homeowners.

Panel Doors
Panel doors are doors that are divided into panels. They are also often referred to as “stile and rail doors: because they are built with a frame and panel construction.

The framework of panel doors are made up of vertical stiles and horizontal rails that frame flat or raised wood panels or glass panes.

Glass Doors
For homeowners who want to maintain an open look for the home, glass doors are the perfect option that can be explored. Glass doors provide an easy way to update and give your home a modern feel.

Every house owner should make an effort to make the perfect choice when choosing a bedroom door in living room. And the door have to be not only visually appealing, but match the decoration in your bedroom as well.

So, these are factors you need to consider when choosing a door for your bedroom.

Therefore, in terms of finding the best bedroom doors it's usually best to consider your budget, Operational styles, floor space, material of bedroom door, sound insulation needs, as well as your individual tastes. Fancier models like barn or french doors are excellent for master bedrooms. Simple flush or panel doors are strong choices for smaller bedrooms.

Bedroom door replacement
If you plan to replace your home bedroom door, then you have to be careful and ensure you won’t make a mistake. You need to size every part of the door, from top to bottom, which means that you need to measure the thickness, width, and height. It is vital to measure the door jamb width, including the width and height of the doors’ frame.

If you are purchasing your door from a supplier, you need to be sure that the dimensions you gave are the correct ones. You need to be specific because any mistake will make them send the wrong size to you.

Standard bedroom door size
What is the standard door size for a bedroom? Actually, the bedroom door does not have a fixed size. It depends on the architectural design of the building, the house owner’s choice, or the one popularly used in the said locality.

Re: COE prices $100,000

Totally get it, my daughter just got her license a little over a month ago and is now really excited about the prospect of going back to the US because she really wants her own car. There I could see it happening but here we drive a used Hyundai. It’s a nice car, not beat up and not old at all but it’s just too expensive to justify owning anything nicer here. It’s not even about having the means, it just doesn’t make sense when you consider all of the other costs that you have to pay in addition to the cost of the car.

And that is the thing many in Singapore do not understand… having financial means does not equate to being able to enjoy it. Singapore is not a place where you get bang for your buck — and it’s not just expensive, it’s also greatly limited in terms of .....

❰❰ Quote:The difference in places like the US is that the public transport system is not nearly as advanced as it is in Singapore so a lot of times if you don’t have a car you quite literally have no way of getting around. Whereas in Singapore the problem is the converse where we have too many cars and not enough room on the road so they need to price things so high that only those who truly truly are willing to make the financial sacrifice are able to get a car.

If Singapore wanted to make car ownership "fair", they'd dump the COE system and go to a simple lottery. They know exactly how many COE's will be issued. A lottery would permit poorer people to buy a car OR sell the COE to someone else willing to pay for it. Time limits could be set for lottery winners... use it or sell it .....

Re: Fridge Leaking; (a) repair person ? or (b) buy 2nd hand ?

I think depends on:

1. Cost of repair for the leak
2. Possibility of recurrence
3. Age of current fridge

vs cost of a new set

I am not certain if you should buy a 2nd hand one because it's used and does not carry a warranty and you would end up repairs again.

Re: Neighbour's helper bringing foreign worker home

Don’t you worry about what might happen to the helper if your neighbor gets truly upset about it? I personally wouldn’t be able to live with myself if I knew I was the reason the helper got sent back to her home country, they work very hard and for very little money, I can’t help but feel for them.

And if that foreign worker likes what he sees in the house that can afford to keep his GF in luxury and not in a Workers cramped, smelly workers quarters and decides to help himself behind the helper's back. Still feel sorry for the helper when 'she' is accused of a theft she knows nothing about? I have to side with smoulder on this. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure and the helper will possibly have learned a hard lesson, or a lesson. In either case, one she .....

Re: What’s the deal with HDB cats?

they would claim those are community cats if pushed. I think the HDB is turning a blind eye.
