Container flooring produced by a large-scale bamboo-based panel manufacturer and service provider in China -- HQC Bamboo, is made from the bamboo-wood composite board (a kind of shipping container floor material) used in new, reconditioned, old containers, and truck compartments. It is made of the bamboo mat, wood veneer, or PSF (phenolic surface film) as the surface layer, that several layers of bamboo units and wood units are glued together as the core layer. Containers are the most important format for ocean transport. Shipping container flooring, one of the most important parts of containers, plays a significant role in ocean transport. The environment on the sea is hot and humid for containers, but the inside environment of the container is relatively closed and stable.

Wood Surface
The surface of the wood-surface container flooring, as the name suggests, is a wood veneer with PSF (phenolic surface film), the middle is the bamboo curtain and wood veneer, and the bottom is wood veneer without PSF.

Bamboo Mat Surface
The surface of the bamboo mat surface container flooring is a bamboo mat with PSF (phenolic surface film), the middle is the bamboo curtain and wood veneer, and the bottom is a wood veneer with PSF.

During the daytime, the interior temperature can reach 40℃ to 70℃. The humidity increases at night. The high level of temperature and humidity asks for high requirements for temperature and moisture resistance. The container is loaded by forklift and transported frequently, so there are high requirements for the wear resistance and hardness of the floor container. As a main load-bearing component of the container, the flooring must have high strength, rigidity, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance, which is also light in weight, easy to maintain, and economic.

HQC container flooring not only has the above advantages of the bamboo plywood, but also is equipped with certification, FDA certification, BV certificate of works approval, and CCS certificate of works approval. Products and services of HQC bamboo products factory have entered the global core supply chain and are well-known in the domestic and international markets. Our clients include Denmark's Maersk, Evergreen Marine Corp., WAN HAI, YANG MING in Taiwan, TRITON, TEX, FLORENS, etc.

HQC will execute the mission to replace wood with bamboo, take low-carbon, green and environmental protection as a production concept, to provide customers with higher value bamboo plywood products.

Re: Anyone teaching me Hokkien?

In practice, I think it is always good to start with knowing some simple phrases and glue things together in a later stage. For me, I think I am learning a bit Hokkien by watching local drama. But I don't have much chance to speak it (or don't have enough gusts to do so) and some of phrases I don't know how to convert it to Mandarin or Cantonese, so I definitely need more practice with people.

To me, it is always fun to mix all these different languages, though Hokkien is a bit challenging to me so far. 8-[

It was much easier to get exposed to Hokkien when I first moved here 27 years ago because more people were speaking it. I can still vividly recall in my first year living in an HDB and an older auntie belted out “kiam sia hor” to me after being courteous to her.

Once I started working, I also had a group of young friends who taught me many of the “choice phrases” which should not be repeated in this .....

Re: SIA cabin crew

Due to covid, I gave up this dream for 2 years. Now, I don't know if I should try again as I have some concerns

Crew or those who joined recently, please help if possible.

Could you share
1. When you're on probation you'll be bullied?
2. Long haul flights, is it only for 1.5 days?
3. Any other experiences - both good and bad - that you're willing to share :)

I saw some people bringing used Nespresso capsules to the Nespresso shops, can I know what is done, is it some loyalty program..?
Nope, at least nothing I am aware of. I order the capsules online from the
Nespresso store and always request some bags for the used one. Upon delivery I pass the bag with used capsules to the delivery man. No loyalty program, just helping to recycle.

Unless the driver works with Nespresso directly, chances are he doesn’t get back there in time to do anything with them. Probably thinks you’re passing him garbage to throw away, haha.
Yeah, they have their own delivery service. 3 hour slots, sometimes even same day, free above S$70.

Hello everyone,

I just got rejected after my health check up today. I suspect it’s my spine, because I had to do an X-ray. I emailed them asking for a reason. Do you think they will reply? Or do you think I can call up Fullerton to check? I mean it’s my own results right, I should know? Thank you.

So sorry to hear that. When did you go for your medical check up?

I went about a 1-2 weeks ish ago.
