Re: 34M looking for new friends [emoji3]
Hi Mark and others,
British guy here (BBC to be precise - careful how you Google that)
Been here a while, I also enjoy cycling. Not too easy to hang out with family and regional travel but with C19 easing, more opportunities to come.

Since we are taking toilets, I have set my team a work challenge - to find the dirtiest, grimiest toilet across SEA hospitals…
Should be an eye opener for the new, younger members, to see how others live and to understand privilege
I think the best toilet view is still Mt Faber cable car station - open window view of the greenery down to Vivocity as you use the urinals…highly recommended.
Other toilets in the zoos are also nice being close to nature….

Re: [Help Needed] Preloved Children's Clothes. Yay or Nay?
We’ve been enjoying hand-me-downs from my niece to both my girls.
Saves a lot of effort, only throw out when the elastic is broken, holes or very messy food stains.
Mainly buy Children’s clothing new if there is a discount or a real need, so we feel kind of bad the older one tends to get most of the new clothing. Young one not complaining much yet….

When we were kids, we often wore hand-me-downs or hand-me-downs from cousins a year or two older. But back then, people weren't quite so prideful. In fact, we also did that with our kids and it's been passed down to my children who are now parents of a 1.5, 3 and 6 year old.

SMS - we were so poor that we wore our own hand me downs.

That's rough. The being poor part. We weren't poor, just frugal.

My mom is so frugal that she prides herself on wearing the same things for 30 or 40 years. Just stitches up any holes and it’s good as new in her opinion. It seems like a challenge to her almost, to see hour long she can make things last.
