Re: Moving to Singapore to work as technician in petrochemical industry realistic?
Probably yellow fever. I caught it once in 1966 got over it by the end of 77. Had a relapse in '82 and still haven't gotten rid of it this time.   I've been told it's terminal this time.
Mal knows what I'm talkin' 'bout!

Re: Can I find a part time job??
At the moment, probably no. maybe in one or two years, provided the world gets a grip on Covid. About the only part-time jobs are in the FandB industry which is taking a beating. I'd worry more about your grades.

Re: Moving to Singapore to work as technician in petrochemical industry realistic?
Che, I'm afraid it's true, it's become a fair bit harder to get any kind of long-term permit to stay in Singapore. This applies even more now during the Covid era of course.
That said, you're odds are likely to improve after you've climbed a few career rungs, so why not make it a 5 year plan?
Incidentally, can I ask, what is it that draws you to Singapore? Why Singapore?

Re: EP Processing Time in Dec 2020/ Jan 2021
My new company applied my EP on 24-Dec-2020.
Current status: "We need inputs from other agencies to process this application. In most instances, the outcome will be available in 4 weeks’ time. Some cases may take longer."
Hopefully will get approve soon.

Does the company have a local presence? Where do you work? Do you work in a company office. All EPs are by sponsorship, either by an employer or by a Singaporean/PR spouse. If you work for a company presence here, it doesn't matter where you are paid from. Doesn't matter if your company pays you from a foreign registered company even if you work for a local subsidiary. If you check with your local employer you will find their office is a locally registered company and your EP is being sponsored by them as a foreign employer cannot apply for an EP without a local presence/subsidiary.
