Design & Communications Specialist
Job brief
We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic design & communications specialist to join our marketing and events team. You will need to design, develop and maintain our promotional collateral, assist with event management and support APREA’s public affairs activities.
Your enthusiasm, great working attitude and willingness to learn new skills are critical attributes.
Responsibilities
Design:
Design for event campaigns, eDMs, invitations, and marketing collateral etc.
Design for brochures, certificates, reports etc.
Design, develop and maintain APREA’s official website and Summit website.
Marketing:
Use E-marketing platforms to design, edit and send out EDMs, weekly e-Newsletter and other company information aligned with business goals.
Coordinate the creation of digital content (e.g. website, blogs, mediate statements and podcasts)
Maintain a strong online company voice through social media (like LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter, WeChat, Weibo etc.)
Liaise with APREA’s partners and prepare marketing collateral (like advertisements, banners etc.).
Events:
Assist with event management, such as venue and catering booking, events information updating, RSVP, payment collections, onsite operations and post-event issues and others.
Requirements
Familiarity with web design and content management systems.
Additional qualifications in web design or development a plus.
Experience with visual communication principles.
Familiarity with E-marketing platforms such as MailChimp etc.
Working knowledge of Serif PagePlus, Serif WebPlus, Serif MoviePlus and other digital editing software, and willing to learn is an advantage.
An understanding of web-based registration and payment gateways is an advantage.
Experience with events logistics.
Ability to multitask and perform under tight deadlines.
Great work attitude, independent worker and self-starter.

Re: Long-Term Visit Pass and Permanent Residence applied within a single application
I've been in the same situation. For my hubs case, LTVP was renewed for 3 months automatically while still pending his concurrent PR and LTVP renewal application. We received the email for his LTVP extension a day or on the day of his last LTVP expiry. Hope this helps.

I guess being a SC you can sponsor ur wife but the immediate challenge i can think of is which address would you use, US or local one. More importantly after ur wife gets her pr and rep she soon has to decide whether she wants to be a citizen

If you read this forum, there have been cases of people applying LTVP when overseas. Then they relocate back to SG while LTVP is processing before LTVP is approved. You need to show ICA that you are physically in SG with a job in SG. Gotta show you wanna settle here for the long term, no?
I highly doubt PR will be given to someone who isn’t physically in SG unless their occupation is super duper rare that SG needs such people.
Don’t be tempted by the 2-in-1 LTVP-PR application or else the processing time will be based on the longest process aka the PR.
One of the topics here has someone who applied for the 2-in-1 and is still waiting for an outcome...

Hello,
I was googling this topic and am blown away by the helpful tips you provided here! I'm also closing down my Pte Ltd, which used to be a one-man show, and as such am trying to do it cost efficiently and "hands on".
I used to do bookkeeping as well as annual filings myself, but for the final year I do have some specific questions. Is there a way to connect with you via private message? (I'm also open to connect to an affordable professional in that field, if you have someone to recommend or feel more comfortable with that.)
