Need Advice on Relocating to Singapore

Hi everyone,
I'm planning to relocate to Singapore soon and would love some guidance from those with experience. I'm especially looking for tips on job searching (in marketing/IT), affordable housing options, and how to adjust to life in Singapore as a new expat. Any help, personal stories, or advice would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Re: Employment Pass and Limited Partner roles

Thank you so much for sharing this — incredibly helpful and eye-opening! Most of us wouldn’t have thought that being a passive Limited Partner could be misinterpreted by MOM as a potential conflict for EP eligibility. It’s good to know that even without an operational role, such nuances can still affect renewals.

Glad your appeal was successful and really appreciate you taking the time to lay out the details — I’m sure this will be useful to many others in similar situations!

Re: MRI Scan

Sorry to hear about your fall — wishing you a speedy recovery. You might want to check out public hospitals like Tan Tock Seng or NUH (National University Hospital), as they often offer more affordable MRI scans, especially if you're a Singapore resident or PR. Some private imaging centres like Lifescan or Parkway Health also occasionally have promotions, so it's worth calling to ask for quotes.

While CT scans can be cheaper, MRI is usually more accurate for soft tissue like knees — so if possible, try to stick with the MRI. Hope you find a good option soon!
