Re: Be very careful signing up packages
After California Fitness, I signed up with Anytime Fitness and made sure to be on a monthly payment schedule so I'm not paying upfront for an extended period.

Re: LTVP application after PMLA rejection
Bare minimum is her business is filed with ACRA, all income reported to IRAS for income tax, voluntary CPF contribution. You gotta give ICA something to work with.
If they can’t find any income or CPF contribution, then yes, it’s a huge red flag that warrants rejection.

Huh? You didn’t check the PMLA at all? Doesn’t the PMLA gets routed to you to check after the SC applies?
I clearly remembered when applying PMLA and LTVP, ICA will request for additional documents if SC declares they are self-employed.
Don’t play around by omitting these documents…

Hmm no we filled in the PMLA application together and that was it, never heard anything about additional or verification documents etc and followed all instructions accordingly.
Only thing we heard after the application was the rejection which to be honest was a shock given both our profiles racially, professionally and nationality wise. I suppose ICA looks at income of SC and whether it can sustain a certain period of time I guess.

Re: My Singapore Citizenship Journey (Caucasian)
As a follow up, to 'dudes posts, the old curmudgeon has been thinking of finally going the same route. I've been a PR for almost 30 years and have been here for 42. I have two grown children (local) and 4 grandchildren now. In the US I own nothing had haven't for over 40 years. I only have 3 blood relatives there. My sister who is 2 years younger than I, her daughter and her grandson from that daughter. I have double that amount of blood here in Singapore all directly from my loins. And looking at where the country is going? Pffft! While I don't think my wife is capable of sponsoring me (we both in our late 70's, ICA does have a category for the retired parents of Singapore Citizens). Should be a cinch but you never can tell, as they speak with forked tongues (Grants are a good example). But like the 'dude, just thinking about renouncing puts a lump in my throat. Unlike 'dude, I don't have any "working years left".
