Hi,

I'm a 27 year old British ex-pat who recently arrived in Singapore (about a month ago). I'm currently living in a serviced apartment that my company are paying for but need to move to a new place by the middle of December. I've found some really nice 2 bedroom places - mainly looking pretty central (around Tajong Pagar, Outram, Chinatown etc) as my office is at Asia Square. All in the region of $6k for 2 bed, 2 bathroom although probably negotiable.

I'm outgoing, social and in to sport (especially football) enjoy chilling out and exploring but overall pretty laid back. Looking for a housemate with similar interests!

Let me know if you are interested! Simon

Re: Administrator and executor of Will

My brother recently passed away without a will. I initially thought that would complicate things and require a lawyer, court, probate, etc… but it turns out that where he lives (Michigan) there is a special streamlined procedure for small estates that merely requires 28 days to pass, and then the rightful heirs can simply fill out an affidavit and get it notarized — that together with the death certificate is enough for a bank or any other entity holding property of the deceased to turn it over to the heir(s). That said, he was one of nearly 70% of Americans who have less than $1000 to their name. Something that is probably hard to imagine over here.

Re: Can I apply LTVP from outside of Singapore?

PR - Yes (as long been in SG before for a while)

LTVP - No. Reason is LTVP is for long term stay in SG. Why grant it to someone who is overseas?

There has been quite a few SG-foreigner couples who returned back to SG in the past one year and got their foreigner spouse LTVP approved. You can check the forum archives.

Just enter SG and do the LTVP process.
