Hi,
I am starting a 3 month internship from about June 26, 2015 to September 28, 2015 at the Singapore Immunology Network. I am currently a student at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) majoring in biochemistry and I am looking for a room/apartment for the duration of my attachment. I am a female.
Ideally, I want to live near the Biopolis, Holland, NUS, or by a Buona Vista MRT. I will be working full time and probably won't be there much. I would like to have all utilities included (wifi, gas, electric, water, etc) and a furnished room. My boyfriend will be over often when I am there so that must be taken into account. We are very nice, clean, and quiet people. He might also be doing an internship at BD biotech so he won't be there often either. Plus, he has family there that he will probably visit often. Also there is a good chance we won't be in on the weekends so we will be gone a lot of the time.
My budget is around S$500-550/month but I think that is pretty fair considering I would not be living there very much during my stay. I am open negotiation on rent.
Thanks for reading and please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions!

Re: Singapore PR Application - CPF access
Just sharing. I applied for PR for my husband using the new system.
Application submitted just before Christmas 2024. One month after applying, I logged in and it states processing application. Then on 10th March when I logged in, it shows pending. 18th March I received the IPA. So in total it took us approximately 3 months to get the approval.

Re: PR IPA Letter Received - Planning in-person Appointment at ICA
Thanks Rappress,
This is encouraging. Do you know whether the outcome of the medical tests is required before I complete the health declaration or are the two completely separate?

Hi Folks,
My PR application has been approved and I received the IPA letter last week. =D>
I am currently living outside of Singapore and will need to return to attend an in-person appointment at the ICA.
Can anyone advise how long I will need to plan to be in the country to attend the medical appointment, receive the results of the HIV and TB tests, apply for the insurance then attend the meeting at the ICA?
Am I right in thinking I need to wait 7 days for the insurance to be approved before the in-person meeting? Do I also need to allow to wait a few days after the ICA appointment to pick up the IC card once it has been produced?
I applied in May 2024, which I believe was under the old system.
Any advice or experience welcomed. Thank you!
I’m actually working on developing an app that addresses similar questions and processes, so I totally get where you're coming from! It can be tricky to navigate all .....
