Re: Singapore PR Application - CPF access
We may have "heard" the new system aims to process most PR applications with 6 months but...the system is just not old enough to be able to verify this. We'll know in the next couple of months how true this is.
I say "heard" because we are guessing this solely based on the wording on the ICA website regarding processing times, which is that all applications will be processed with 6 months. However, the caveat that some applications may take longer is still there.

Hi,
I have applied in the new system post June 2024, submitted my application end of July 2024. As of now, no one has reached out for additional documents.
Also curious whether the 6 months processing time is true or whether it takes longer?

So you are one month ahead of me. As I said, we got a notification to provide a document 2 weeks after submission. Not sure if it's only one round of requests or we can expect several rounds.
Mine still shows "processing application". Is it true that it will change to "pending" before the results?

Re: Singapore PR Application - CPF access
Hi OP,
Did you apply under the new system (post 26 jun 2024)? Did ICA reach out to ask for more documents/ verification? If so, around which month?
I sponsored my husband (submitted end Aug) and they asked for one document within 2 weeks and then we haven't heard back. I heard the new system aims to process most applications within 6 months, so wondering if it's true

Re: Is it easy to get a reverse payment for online purchase via credit card?
Disputing a charge is easy and gets credited to your card right away… but if the merchant disputes your dispute (which is also easy for them to do if they have any evidence that you made the purchase), it gets reversed just as easy, and the charge will be added back on to your credit card. If you choose to re-dispute, you’ll need hard evidence as to why, or you’ll need to take it to court.
Knowing that this is where things eventually end up down the cc dispute path, you are encouraged to resolve any disputes directly with the merchant before disputing with the cc issuer. It’s just not a great mechanism unless it’s a genuine blunder that a merchant refuses to resolve, despite having no evidence that you agreed to the charge.
