Re: Average salaries in Singapore
Hi, does anyone have any experience in working for the likes of a Singtel, Starhub or adjacent industries in Senior Product Management, Marketing or Consulting roles?
Some of the research I have done with regard to average salary for example in Morgan Mckinley or a Robert Walters etc does not seem to line up with what I am seeing in terms of salary range of job ads (typically half of what I might expect given 20+ years experience). I've looked at the Kelly Personal Services salary guide for 2024 and see this is partially in line with what i am seeing on say jobstreet, and as such perhaps not that compelling if I compare that against the cost of renting by myself.
Has the market turned or am I looking in the wrong places or a bit of both?
Any guidance appreciated.

Just wanted to share the timeline of my wifes PR approval. I started working in SG under EP in late 2022, applied PR after 6 months working and got it approved after 15 months, in mid of 2024. Got married in July 2024, wifes LTVP approved in August 2024, applied PR December 2024 and approved in Jun 14 2025.
I will advice anyonte to just apply if eligible, theres no need to wait 2 years etc. The worst is it gets rejected. My citizenship is pending now, will update if its approved.

Re: Gahmen fcked the market with their BS ABSD
Exactly Abby. And those stuck condo owners are getting annoyed. We have managed to sell one unit in my condo though a month ago so cheaper units are still moving but only to Singapore buyers of course.
The real risk is asset depreciation if you own like I do.

Re: Gahmen fcked the market with their BS ABSD
It should be reduced else a lot of condos are just going to be stuck as the interest from foreigners have waned. Even the rich won't be willing to pay 60%
I see locals going after all the new launch properties...not sure why, units/rooms are way smaller and pricier, FOMO perhaps
