This course would empower you with knowledge about gemstones, the different types of crystals and how it forms. Learn why are gemstones so valuable and the 4C’s of gemstones. Learn to identify gemstones using modern gemological equipments like the loupe, microscope, refractometer, prism spectroscope, polariscope, and dischroscope. With this basic understanding you can start to identify some of the gemstones like ruby, sapphire, emerald, etc!

Mr. Tay Thye Sun holds a Bachelor of Science in geology and Masters degree from University of London. Mr. Tay is an experienced gemstone dealer and also a professional gemologist since 1981. He is a member of United Nations organisation of expert and also a member of prestigious by invitations only, the International Gemmological Conference. Mr. Tay has shared his gem research through many published articles, and as guest speaker in Tokyo, Beijing, Idar-Oberstein(Germany) and many other countries.
