Our beautiful 4.5 year-old daughter is a sweet, fun-loving girl who is developmentally delayed. For Izzy, that means that she can find the world overwhelming at times and has difficulty understanding social cues.
We are hopeful that through intervention and a program called Son-Rise, we will be able to help her. Son-Rise is a play-based “treatment”. Here is where you can help! We are looking for a few people to be part of “TEAM Izzy”.
Can you spare a minimum of 4 hours every week to play with Izzy in our home, and participate in a bi-weekly “team” meeting to discuss her progress?
You would play with Izzy by using intuitive, easy techniques using the Son-Rise Program, developed by the founders of the Autism Treatment Center of America. We will teach you these techniques. You will follow Izzy’s lead and connect with her by joining in her interests and then celebrate her attempts to connect socially.
During this past month, we have a wonderful lady from the US who worked with Izzy. This wonderful young lady will be heading home end of March but we want to continue to help Izzy. We are seeing her making more sense of the world around her. The progress has been nothing short of incredible! Just think what will happen if we work on this together!
Are you reliable, trustworthy and have a willingness to make happiness a priority in your life! Without happiness we cannot create our program for Izzy!
